The Bears traded linebacker Roquan Smith to the Ravens last season, getting 2023 second- and fifth-round picks as well as veteran linebacker A.J. Klein in return.

The Bears used the 53rd overall pick obtained in the trade on University of Florida defensive tackle Gervon Dexter on Friday.

On Saturday, they used the 148th overall selection on Oregon linebacker Noah Sewell.

Sewell is the brother of Lions right tackle Penei Sewell, the seventh overall pick in 2021, and Saints linebacker Nephi Sewell, who played four games last season as an undrafted free agent.

Noah Sewell played 33 games with 31 starts in three seasons at Oregon, totaling 215 tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, 11 passes defensed and two interceptions.

  1. Looking at this draft it seems to me the PoleBears are looking to finish last again and a first overall pick to trade away again. They have absolutely nobody to get after the QB ( edge rusher ) with any talent !

  2. I love how Chicago has failed to adjust on what the NFC North has been doing. Usually I fear what the bears bring on the defensive side of the ball.

Lions coming out of another trade a winner.

Swift is good for a quarter of the season, after that he becomes oft injured and in street clothes on Sundays

Dude, stop painting false pictures, the Lions are a total embarrassment until they actually win a post season game.

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

As a Viking fan, your wishful thinking about the Bears ruining the Lions failed improvement time again….(for what the 67th year? L0Lions!) is going to come back and haunt.

First off the Vikes are the KINGS of the North and Justin Fields owned that crappy Lions defense last year. The Lions beat the Bears by one point because Fields was running all over them with no weapons nor a defense.

You’re making people from Detroit look really stupid, then again they live in Detroit – probably have half a br@in to begin with.

The Bears are rebuilding Lions fan, give it some time. We are right behind the little kitty’s to the East!

  7. A full draft for once, extra picks to boot. Finally dropped a bunch of Dead cap (we were still paying Trevathan).

This is the prove it year for Fields. If he’s the one (I generally think he is), we’ll get the flashy pieces next year with 2 first round picks.

If he’s not the one? We have 2 first round picks to trade up.

I for one am excited to watch the Offense take the field, similar to watching Hester. Defense just needs to be average.

  8. The positive thing for the Bears is, they will be drafting first overall next year, maybe they finally can get a QB. Vikings/Lions will battle for 1st, Packers 3rd, Bears 4th.

The Bears and Packers will finish ahead of the Lions. Everyone knows the Vikings missed their window. The Lions had a very average draft and still don’t have a QB.

The Lions literally drafted an injured QB, how stupid.
