Free agent offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn is heading to Miami.

Wynn is signing a one-year contract with the Dolphins, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The 27-year-old Wynn was a first-round pick of the Patriots in 2018 and has been a free agent since March after playing out his rookie contract.

Although he’s a talented offensive lineman, Wynn has struggled to stay healthy. He missed his entire rookie season after tearing an Achilles tendon in the preseason, and has missed significant playing time in all but one of his five NFL seasons.

Last year Wynn played in nine games, starting seven. This year the Dolphins will hope Wynn can compete for a starting job on their offensive line. And they’ll hope he can stay healthy.

Wynn was No. 49 on our list of the Top 100 free agents.

  1. Fins fans are delusional. You have a fragile qb & Wynn won’t help protect him…and a head coach over his head. You’ll be fighting with the Pats for last place in the east.

  2. I wouldnt say he’s good when healthy. I’d say he’s good when he wants to be. And he didn’t want to be, in a contract year. That says a lot.

He got lazy and packed it in last year. Instead of seizing the opportunity to cash in, he loafed.

If he’s motivated, it could be a good signing. Or he could be cut in camp.

  3. Gooe luck! Miami’s OLine is awful so this won’t help. He’ll be hurt or moping by preseason.

A classic delusional Millennial. Scarnecchia’s lone stain on an otherwise HOF career.

  4. I’m confused. He played at Georgia, so isn’t he legally obligated to play for the Eagles?

  5. For their sake, I hope the Dolphins didn’t give Wynn a lot of guaranteed money.

  6. “Although he’s a talented offensive lineman”

I personally thought him to be a human holding penalty.

  7. Sounds like another Belicheat draft bust and reading the comments you can see the fanboys hard at work bashing a player they called a future HOFamer….the story never changes. I wish him good luck leaving that cesspool of hate.

  8. Miami needs someone having cut 3 undrafted free agents. At worst he’s a good backup.

    You sir, are a liar.

    But, is he?

  10. Move him back to RT and he will be ok. Yes he has had injuries but he can handle the rush on the right side. He was never onboard with the move to LT and became bitter. Could work out for Phins.

  11. Grier signing an player with issues staying healthy has not worked out for Miami. At some point the fans are gonna revolt because it’s not money well spent – I’d rather have a player who’s abilities are fair that can stay healthy & play a full season over an average guy who can’t stay on the field and takes up a roster spot

Meh beats setting world records then getting ousted lol.

  13. Wynn wasn’t a disappointment as a player, more a disappointment for too often not being available to play. He also went through periods when he seemed to get illegal procedure penalties to kill drives.

He also seemed to have a chip on his shoulder after his option wasn’t picked up. Alas, he didn’t step up his play. He also foolishly talked about the big contract he was expected in free agency that was never going to happen.

  14. Wait so the Dolphins signed another injury prone lineman to protect their injury prone QB?

  15. Putting him back at Rt tackle might help him and also what Fins paid for him.

Actually I have yet to ever hear Pats fanboys calling any rookie a future hall of famer. I dont hear a lot of any other fanbases doing that with their rookies either, most folks have enough sense to know that even the most promising rookie is still a gamble. Its you guys that are terrified of the Pats that you sweat every draft pick and worry the team might have hit paydirt. You have this need to start telling yourself they are a bust right away. Case in point, you guys have at some point or another declared every single Pata pick this year a bust. Even the 6th rounders you declare busts (what exactly is a 6th round “bust” anyhow) you are so anxious to convince yourself against anything that might lead to Patriots winning again. You have spent more worrying about the Patriot picks than the Steeler ones.. The PTSD is real.

  17. Dolphins GM Grier has never met an injury prone player he did not fall in love with.

  18. “Although he’s a talented offensive lineman, Wynn has struggled to stay healthy.” Chris Grier practically left skid marks running to the phone to put in his claim.
