Wide receiver Charleston Rambo impressed the Eagles during a minicamp tryout.

The Eagles announced Rambo’s signing on Tuesday. They waived tackle Jarrid Williams in a corresponding move.

Rambo played at Oklahoma and Miami in college before going undrafted last year. He signed with the Panthers, but failed to make the team out of training camp. He went on to play for the Orlando Guardians in the XFL this spring and got his shot with the Eagles after catching 35 passes for 430 yards and three touchdowns.

Rambo will vie for a spot in a receiving corps that includes A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Quez Watkins, Olamide Zaccheaus, Tyrie Cleveland, Greg Ward, and Britain Covey.

  1. YES!! Never heard of him before, but Rambo NEEDS to be in the National Football League!

  2. True story. In second grade I went an entire week only signing my homework with the name Rambo. The teacher had to figure out everyone else who handed in the homework before she determined it was I who was the mysterious individual who had changed their name. Im 42 years old and its still the coolest thing Ive ever done.

  3. Just completely leave out the fact that he was the 2nd leading WR (behind Lamb) at Oklohoma for Hurts’ season there. No big deal. He’s on the 90-man roster because Hurts wants him on the 90-man roster.
