Veteran offensive lineman Germain Ifedi is signing with the Lions, Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports.

The Falcons released Ifedi a week ago, saving $940,000 in cap space.

Ifedi played every game as a reserve for the Falcons last season but only eight of his 80 snaps came on offense.

A first-round pick of the Seahawks in 2016, Ifedi started 83 of the 85 games he played for Seattle and Chicago before moving to Atlanta last season.

He has played both right tackle and right guard in his career.

Everyone enjoys a good zing. But, if it lacks creativity and humor, the person just comes off as a loser troll. I’m guessing the single “like” came from one of his alias accounts.

  3. This guy was a cast off from the Seahawks, then a cast off from the Bears.

It doesn’t get any worse than that. The Lions are not having a good off season by any means.

  4. Well this is the solid confirmation the Holmes doesn’t have the slightest clue what he’s doing. Horrible draft and signing Bears cast offs that already cast offs….L0Lions!

This guy literally makes the lions OL worse.

You can’t make this stuff up!

  5. AAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNDDDDDDD yet another garbage signing from the worst draft class of 2023.

Anyone talking this signing up knows absolutely nothing about Football, this guy is awful.

  6. If this guy has to play, your going to loose that side of the OL.

I couldn’t believe it when the Bears picked him up…..That should be all you need to hear before assuming he’s a quality depth add.

  7. He wasn’t drafted in 2023, he’s a trash OL that got dumped by the Seahawks and now the Bears.

The Lions just got worse, to many cast off signings. These positions should have been addressed during the draft not bottom of the barrel pick ups before camp.

Tackle/Guard combo is nice to have on the bench.

He will need to start by week 1, Lions already are getting ready to IR Ragnow. It's not hard to see the desperate move by Holmes anticipating the OL being wounded.
